Music Monday: Lissie

This week’s MM comes as a recommendation from one of my twitter pals, @clareyt after I tweet I sent out saying I had been playing Lady Gaga on repeat.

Below is the video for Lissie’s cover of Lady G’s hit single, Bad Romance {my favorite}. Lissie strips away all the glitter & pelvic thrusts down to raw, smokey vocals. Don’t get me wrong, I love Lady Gaga’s mind-blowing antics, but it’s refreshing to see the same piece of music interpreted differently by other artists.

Neat, right? I hope you liked it as much as I did. It’s also worth noting that if you liked this, you may want to check out Haley Williams’ rendition as well. Get it, girls!

    I’ve never heard of Lissie before, but WOW, I love her voice :)

    However, what really surprised me was Hayley Williams’ version of “Bad Romance”. Hell, I like it even better than Lady GaGa’s version! Thanks for sharing :) I just had to post it on Twitter!

    i’m watching since a month lot of accoustic and live from lady gaga but this girl rocks!!!!!
    so now it’s would be my favorite song to listen when i’m drawing…

    Love! It’s no surprise that Gaga was a songwriter long before she was a star wacko…the woman writes songs that can be rocked by EVERYONE in such an awesome way! Good post girlfren :)
